From Best Young Stylist in Scotland to photo-shoots in the US, the UK and Australia, Leanne has done it all. Now, after 16 years experience, she’s all settled in at Miss Gertrude, where she is the salon manager – as well as an incredible stylist. She does manage to indulge her travelling feet on the odd occasion, most recently a motorbike trip across Vietnam. We’re jealous!
Although Giovanni was born in Melbourne, he has worked across Sydney, London and Manchester, for industry leaders including Edward Beale, Vidal Sassoon, Kusco-Murphy, Mien, Toni & Guy, Efbee and Terence Renati. For Giovanni, “hair is like a fabric”, giving him scope to create modern shapes on all kinds of textures. Giovanni concentrates solely on cutting, leaving colour to others. He indulges in his love of gadgets, gigs and his Vespa when he leaves the salon behind.

Elle has been hairdressing for five years, including time spent throughout Europe, where she was able to refine her own distinct style. She was nominated & awarded National Finalist for Aveda Colour Harmony in 2010. Expanding from this, Elle spends time doing editorial hair & makeup and freelance fashion & when she’s not busy with all of that… she manages to fit in a television show called ‘bright things.tv’ where she is a presenter. Wow!!
Senior stylist, colourist, hair up wiz, and all round excellent gal. Born in the bush but really a city girl Grace began her hairy training 10yrs ago at ‘Shibui’ before heading off to the U.K. to see what all the fuss was about. Her style is relaxed and intuitive, believing hair should be low-fuss and easy to maintain. Still, with a touch of glamour. She’s spent time on campaigns and runways assisting local Melbourne designers as well as internationals here in New Zealand and London. When not in the salon she’s found styling interior shoots or tinkering away at her budding Interior design business.
Arriving in Melbourne by way of Osaka, Japan, Eri is all about the cut and colour. Twelve years of experience mean her sense of style is very well-honed. Jens has been working as a hairdresser for more than 25 years. He began his career in Germany, where he trained with Vidal Sassoon. Since then he has worked all over the world, honing his expertise.
